Dr. Alaa is the founder of Urban Reform, with the experience of over four decades in engineering and management. He has done Ph.D. in civil engineering from Sorbonne University Pierre and Marie Curie. Besides he is also P.Eng certified in Ontario and has the membership of American Concrete Institute (ACI). Dr. Alaa has also served as a visiting professor at undergraduate and graduate level. As the CEO of Urban Reform, he is responsible for strategy planning and ethic controlling. He has a vast history of accomplished projects globally. Moreover, he is a thinker, researcher, and writer with several renowned published work and conferences. In 2004, Dr Alaa was elected as the Mayor of Baghdad, which is known as the city of peace. It is one of the oldest capitals in the Middle East established in 762 AD, and has the population over 7 million. During his serving period, he was in charge of urban development and new city planning as well as the management of municipal environmental and infrastructure requirements.

Mustafa Almukhtar

Mustafa has done BSc. in Civil Engineering with 25 years of experience in the fields of management and engineering along with 15 years of Geotechnical knowledge and practice with over 8,000 signatures on Geotechnical reports and soil solutions globally. He is in charge of the overall administration and technical matters related to geoengineering department, which includes tendering and quoting for client’s inquiry. He is also responsible for quality control and applicable professional method of statements approved by the recognized standards. Besides, he has also done successful completion of the awarded project in Geo-Engineering department as per the schedule and budget with direct communication with the project managers of clients, government regulators, other sub-contractors and their representatives. He is a significant part of the business development and implementation of new marketing tools in the organization.

Ahkam Al Taee, P.Eng.

Ahkam has M.Sc. mechanical engineering, he did collect diverse Mechanical Engineering /Managerial background skills with extensive experience for EPC projects in both the private & public sectors in a several industries ranging Oil & Gas to power & water distribution in multi disciplines senior jobs design, construction, supply chain & project management”. Ahkam admitted as charter Engineer of Iraqi Union of Engineers, also admitted a Professional engineer in both Board of Engineers in Malaysia and PEO-Ontario/Canada. He did in charge in design oil & gas pipelines and piping for tanks farm of deferent depots and refineries in Iraq & Malaysia. He attended several factory tests of different mechanical fittings/pipes and shared in approval manufacturing process specifications. He has Meirc Professional Certificate (MPC) as a certified contracts manager; moreover, he is Affiliate member in Chartered Institute of purchasing & supply (CIPS) /UK. He has wide international experiences in FIDIC ‘s types of contracts ,as he did evaluate/analysis of commercial bids, negotiate terms & conditions of contracts/subcontract including sub-contracting strategy sub-contract clarifications, contractual conflict resolution, preparing change orders/claims.

Expert with multi-function construction firms: General Contractor, Consultant, Design- Proposal/ Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Procurement, Development and Client’s Representative in overseas projects in Middle East- Iraq, UAE (Abu Dhabi, Dubai), Qatar (Doha), and in Canada as well in Toronto and Mississauga. Ali, a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with a PhD in Environmental Engineering from the United States; a Master Degree in Water Resources Engineering; and a Project Manager Professional (PMP), is a highly qualified professional with more than 15 years of regional and international experience in major capital infrastructure and environmental programs, projects and studies. He brings working experience with international and national agencies in Northern America, Europe, MENA, and Africa.

Holder of 10-year experience in Project Management and Coordination in the field of Civil Engineering encompassing material testing, geotechnical, foundations, pavement, and structures. Experienced professional in multi-discipline projects in both field and office environment. As a professional, Ahmad Hassan continues to enhance technical experiences with an outlook for transportation researches.

Faidhi Alubaid, PhD

Senior Structural Engineer

Dr. Faidhi was awarded Ph.D. in structural engineering from university of Sheffield and M.Eng. from university of Liverpool in UK, with the experience of over four decades in engineering and academic education. He is Professional Consultant Engineer for the designing and constructing multiple public buildings community’s projects with public facilities and infrastructure, university project includes 76 structures (buildings and infrastructures) and Main Stadiums of 35000 capacities with it is facilities including training fields and hotels. He provides structural consultancy for investigating damaged R.C multistory buildings, Schools and Highway Bridges and describe the structure statues in reports, recommend the treatment (Repair and strengthen) methods. Dr. Faidhi has served as Associate Professor in several universities in middle east at the civil engineering departments, lecturing and supervising projects for undergraduate and postgraduate students and perform several academic duties. During his academic execution he published thirteen papers in the field of structural engineering and project management and attended several international conferences.
