Geotechnical Investigation for Soil

Urban Reform delivers a complete geotechnical investigation and soil testing report for any new proposed project with objectives includes and not limited to below:

  • Determine the location and thickness of soil strata.
  • Determine location of the ground water table.
  • Collect both soil and water samples for testing and evaluation.
  • Conduct tests, either in the field or in the laboratory to measure relevant engineering properties.
  • Identify concerns and provide recommendations.

Our Scope of work

  • In Field, Drilling of boreholes up to the requested depths, measure the strength of the soil layers through SPT reading and to obtain disturbed, undisturbed and spilt spoon samples from different layers.
  • In Lab. Carrying out necessary tests to obtain physical ,chemical and Geotechnical Parameters of the investigated soil, the laboratory tests include and may not limited to:
  • 1. Particle-Size Analysis of soil
  • 2. Classification of Soil (USCS) method.
  • 3. Atterberg Limits.
  • 4. Specific Gravity of Soil.
  • 5. Determination of water (moisture) content of Soil.
  • 6. One-dimensional Consolidation properties of Soil.
  • 7. Unconfined Compressive strength of Cohesive Soil.
  • 8. Chemical tests (Chloride, Sulphate, PH, Organic, TDS, etc.)
  • Engineering analysis of the results obtained from field and laboratory design and developing conclusions and recommendation for bearing capacity of the soil and foundation design with the recommended types and method of its construction.
